Privacy policy

Cricket with Mates is an app for social cricket groups, run from Australia. This policy explains what we collect, why, who can see it, and your choices. Contact: privacy@cricketwithmates.com.

What we collect

Information	Why
Name, email address and phone number	To create your account, confirm your email and let your group organisers contact you.
Cricket profile (role, batting and bowling style, wicketkeeper), optional nickname and photo, time zone	To pick teams and show your profile to your group.
Groups you join, session replies, matches you play and your scores	To run sessions, keep scorecards and work out statistics.
Money records your group's finance manager keeps (fees, payments you report, expenses)	To show what you owe or have paid. Payments happen outside the app; we never see card or bank logins.
Credit pack purchases made through Google Play (pack, time, order number)	To add the credits to your group. Google handles the payment; we do not receive card details.
Security records (sign-ins, two-step verification, actions on money and roles)	To keep accounts and group records safe and to investigate problems.

We do not ask your age or date of birth. The app is for people aged 13 and over. We do not use advertising or tracking, and we do not sell your information.

Who can see it

Members of your groups see your name, photo, cricket profile, scorecards and, unless you turn off Share my stats, your career statistics.
Group owners, organisers and the finance manager also see your phone and email, and your money records for that group.
Other players never see your phone, email or what you owe.
Our support staff may look at records when you ask for help or to prevent misuse; this access is logged.
Nothing is public: there are no public profiles or score pages.

Guests

Organisers can add a guest by first name for a session. If you were added as a guest and want your name removed, email us.

Where it is stored

Your information is stored by our hosting provider Supabase in Sydney, Australia. Sign-in emails are sent through Resend. App purchases are processed by Google Play. These providers process data only to run the service for us. If you use the app outside Australia, your information is still stored in Australia.

How long we keep it

While your account is open. Accounts are never deleted just for being inactive. Sign-ups that never confirm their email are deleted after one day. When you delete your account, see what is deleted and what is kept.

Your choices and rights

Change your profile, photo and stats sharing in the app at any time.
Ask for a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion by emailing privacy@cricketwithmates.com.
If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to your local privacy regulator (in Australia, the OAIC; in New Zealand, the Privacy Commissioner).

Security

Information is encrypted in transit. Access is checked on our servers for every request, money and role changes need two-step verification, and money records cannot be edited after they are posted, only corrected with a new entry.

We will update this page and tell you in the app before any important change.
